Modeling Web Service Selection for Composition as a Distributed Constraint Optimization Problem (DCOP)

During development of a Service-oriented Application, some software pieces could be fulfilled by the connection to Web Services. A list of candidate Web Services could be obtained by making use of any service discovery registry, which are then selected and integrated into the application. However, when it comes to a distributed system, multiple functional and non-functional constraints arise from the interaction between several service requesters and providers, particularly when composing different services. To overcome with such constraints, in this work we propose to model service selection and composition scenarios as Distributed Constraints Optimization Problems (DCOP).We propose different modeling approaches and develop representative examples to be solved through different DCOP algorithms. Intervenciones de enfermería en pacientes con enfermedad de Crohn

Los pacientes tienen síntomas como la diarrea, dolor abdominal, cansancio y fatiga. Produce limitaciones en las áreas físicas, psicológicas, familiares y sociales de la persona y su calidad de vida se ve disminuida drásticamente. Objetivos: Determinar las intervenciones de enfermería que pueden ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes con Enfermedad de Crohn. Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica en la que se utilizaron las bases de datos PubMed, Cinahl, Cuidatge, SciELO, CUIDEN PLUS y Biblioteca Cochrane Plus. Resultados: Se escogieron un total de 15 artículos según los criterios previamente establecidos. Conclusiones: Enfermería puede ayudar a mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes con Enfermedad de Crohn mediante una atención holística, la educación sanitaria, la modificación de estilos de vida (entre ellos, el tabaco, la dieta, el estrés y la prevención de infecciones), la gestión de la sintomatología y proporcionando apoyo físico, psíquico y emocional al paciente y a la familia

Since the irruption of Web Services, in their SOAP and REST flavors, the market has turned from intra-business applications to inter-organizational applications. Nowadays, more organizations have a broad access to the Web and span their frontiers using service-centered applications. In this paper, we review the testing challenges and strategies in Web Services – as the technological weapon-of-choice to implement Business Services. Then we deepen into a possible strategy to address service testing: Test Reduction. Alternativas de esfuerzo de pesca para la gestión de las pesquerías demersales en el Mediterráneo occidental

Management alternatives based on fishing effort for the demersal fisheries in the western Mediterranean were tested, with the novelty of examining management alternatives at temporal scales smaller than one year. Nine scenarios were considered on the basis of input control: decrease in the number of fishing days, which may correspond to cessation of activity of vessels or lower activity of the fleet; and implementation of seasonal closures of one-, two- and three-month duration in winter, spring, summer and autumn. The approach is based on a multispecies and multigear bioeconomic model. We selected a total of ten species (Merluccius merluccius, Nephrops norvegicus, Mullus barbatus, Mullus surmuletus, Parapenaeus longirostris, Lophius piscatorius, Lophius budegassa, Aristeus antennatus, Phycis blennoides and Lepidorhombus boscii) and seven fleets, defined as a combination of fishing gear (bottom trawl, entangling nets and longline) and fleet segment. A similar decrease in F is achieved with a 20% reduction of fishing effort (days) or with two- to three-month closures. Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) for all stocks would be achieved only with such a drastic reduction of fishing effort ( > 80% of fishing days by the end of the five years of simulation) that, in practice, its application can be considered unrealistic, since it would represent a very low activity of all fishing fleets over the year.Se investigaron alternativas de gestión, basadas en el esfuerzo de pesca, para las pesquerías demersales del Mediterráneo occidental, con la novedad de analizar alternativas de gestión a escalas temporales inferiores a 1 año. Se consideraron nueve escenarios basados en control de entrada: disminución en el número de días de pesca, que puede corresponder a cese de actividad de las embarcaciones o a una menor actividad de la flota; y aplicación de vedas temporales de 1,2 y 3 meses de duración, en invierno, primavera, verano y otoño. Se ha trabajado con un modelo bioeconómico, multi-especies y multi-arte. Se seleccionó un total de 10 especies (Merluccius merluccius, Nephrops norvegicus, Mullus barbatus, Mullus surmuletus, Parapenaeus longirostris, Lophius piscatorius, Lophius budegassa, Aristeus antennatus, Phycis blennoides, Lepidorhombus boscii) y 7 flotas, definidas como una combinación de arte de pesca (arrastre de fondo, redes de enmalle y palangre) y segmento de flota. Se consigue un mismo descenso en F con una reducción del 20% del esfuerzo de pesca (días de pesca) o con vedas de 2-3 meses de duración. MSY para todos los stocks se alcanzaría con una reducción tan drástica del esfuerzo de pesca ( > 80% de los días de pesca al final de los cinco años de simulación) que, en la práctica, puede considerarse su aplicación no realista, ya que representaría una actividad muy baja de las flotas durante el año

A Software Tool for Selection and Integrability on Service Oriented Applications

Connecting services to rapidly developing service-oriented applications is a challenging issue. Selection of adequate services implies to face an overwhelming assessment effort, even with a reduced set of candidate services. On previous work we have presented an approach for service selection addressing the assessment of WSDL interfaces and the expected execution behavior of candidate services. In this paper we present a plugin for the Eclipse IDE to support the approach and to assist developers’ daily tasks on exploring services integrability. Los deportes y la antropología tienen una relación fuertemente consolidada en todo el mundo. En Suramérica, cuarenta años de investigaciones antropológicas han fecundado este, hoy, próspero campo. Nos proponemos aquí abordar esta relación analizando el devenir de los tópicos antropológicos y, también, el de los investigadores que han trazado con sus trabajos recorridos posteriores. Este recorrido nos posibilitará discutir el futuro de este campo de estudios, visibilizando problemáticas, delineando nuevos objetivos y repensando los lineamientos, teorías y epistemologías en este campo de estudios.Sports and anthropology have consolidated a strong relationship throughout the world. Forty years of anthropological research have fertilized this field in Latin America. In this article, we set out to discuss this relationship by analyzing the evolution of the topics which anthropology has focused on and the work of the academics who have studied those topics. Our review of the history of this relationship will enable us to speak about the future of this field of study, visualize the problems it may face, outline new aims for it and go over the guidelines for its theories and epistemologies.Os esportes e a antropologia têm uma relação fortemente consolidada em todo o mundo. Na América Latina, quarenta anos de pesquisa antropológica fertilizaram este campo, que hoje é próspero. Propomos aqui abordar essa relação analisando a evolução dos tópicos antropológicos e, também, a dos pesquisadores que seguiram suas jornadas subsequentes. Un sistema de procesamiento de declaraciones en juicios por delitos de lesa humanidad

Habiendo finalizado la última Dictadura cívico-militar (1976– 1983) el camino de la Justicia en investigar, enjuiciar y condenar a los responsables de las violaciones a los Derecho Humanos ha resultado un desafío. La complejidad de la temática se ha visualizado por un lado, por la gran cantidad de datos existentes que se vuelven imposibles de procesar y analizar; y por otro, por la desinformación causada por la propia perversidad y clandestinidad en la que actuó el Terrorismo de Estado. Por ello, este trabajo presenta un sistema informático direccionado a la detección, ubicación y procesamiento de declaraciones en juicios de lesa humanidad, que permita la visualización de los datos, relaciones y patrones en los que se desplegó la actividad del sistema represivo estatal.Sociedad Argentina de Informática e Investigación Operativa (SADIO
